Whether you are reviewing or updating an existing reading list, or developing a new module or programme, we can advise you on the availability, formats and cost of texts and journals, and help you source material that will be relevant and support course content.

Staff new to reading list development are advised to consult the Reading List Guidelines.

Reading lists

We have provided quick links to module reading lists on the library catalogue and on each module page on Moodle.  These both make suggested reading more visible to students and provide you with a tool to check your reading list.

When a new edition of a book is purchased, we will update the Module Database for you, but if you make a change to a reading list, don't forget to let us know!

We can provide evidence of how well reading list material is being utilised by students, and information on the most popular books by course year group.

Collection development
Where funds permit, we look to broaden the library collection beyond reading list material.  As well as subject-related titles, we have collections supporting study and research skills, employability and student wellbeing.

You can keep up to date with new titles by subscribing to our current awareness service.

If you would like to suggest a new resource for the library, either get in touch with us or complete this form.
