Getting started with the library

All new students will be offered a library induction in their tutorial sessions. We know that making the most of an academic library often requires a bit of guidance, and library staff are here to help you access the information and resources you need to do your best at college or university. We work with academic staff to provide library and information skills sessions from FE up to PG level. You can also book a 1:1 with a librarian when you need some extra help or have more in depth research needs.

In addition to books, ebooks and journals, the library also provides:

  • Study spaces - desks for individual and group work; comfortable seating areas; access to fixed PCs

  • Printing, copying and scanning facilities

  • Stationery for sale

  • Book swap - selection of fiction books on offer

  • Wellbeing and Inclusion Collection
